“ The service was okay. They made us wait at a table for a little while for a chef to show up but that might be standard with Hibachi. The ambiance was nice as the restaurant has a samurai suit and the aesthetic of an American Japanese hibachi restaurant. Food was plenty!! Also tasted quite good and was worth the price. ”
“ Service was excellent, the hibachi chef was funny and did a great job. I had a drink called the Hyacinth, that was delicious. A little on the pricy side, but worth it for the experience. ”
“ We went valentines night about 5:45 pm and waited about 15 minutes. Nice, clean restaurant. Food was delicious with large portions. Our cook, Don was entertaining. He's been cooking for over 30 years! ”
“ I had a great time at Osaka with my sorority sisters. This was my first time I was at this location. Once my entire party had arrived we were seated promptly. For hibachi meal moved pretty fast which is a good thing. I can't remember Chef or servers names but both gentlemen were great. I really enjoyed the scallops the most from my hibachi meal. The salad was good and they were generous with the ginger dressing. I had the Bahama mama to drink and that was probably the weakest part of my experience. The ambience is very clean and welcoming. I would definitely come back to this spot for an hibachi night. ”
“ This was extremely random. My companion wanted us to go out to lunch on Sunday. I wasn't feeling too hungry, so I was wanting something simple, but I was also open to a place that would give me many leftovers, so I could avoid cooking later in the week. End of the semester and all. Anyhow, he suggested sushi for me, as he knows it's light and I inhale the stuff. That and he had a craving for filet mignon, and well, that's how we wound up at Osaka. Except you know - I changed my mind and got some hibachi myself, haha. As expected, he ordered the filet mignon for hibachi. Or should I be saying teppanyaki? The grills are teppanyaki grills, after all, but I'm digressing here. I opted for chicken and shrimp, but as the chef began to cook what was a lobster, I immediately regretted my choice. I guess the universe knew I made the wrong decision as he forgot to leave me some chicken and instead I got to order my lobster. Woohoo! Let me tell you that lobster was downright delectable. No disrespectful to the rest of the meal, but the lobster itself is why I'm rating so highly. It just hit the spot that I didn't know I had. Now, don't mistake me, the soup and salad, along with the rice, noodles, vegetables, and shrimp were great, but that lobster is what dreams are made of. So much so that my companion who hates seafood kept speaking of how beautifully it was cooked in front of us. Seriously speaking, I've never been so happy to be forgotten to be able to change my order. Long live the lobster! Oh, and Osaka obviously. Wound up with three meals and it has made my week easier. A true contender in Tallahassee. Go visit if in the area. ”
